Selecting BI Data for Searching for Data Patterns in Databases

ESTARD Data Miner can use previously created statistics, rules and decision trees as the source of search parameters for searching data patterns.

Use "Options"   dialog at the "Search a Database" tab to select between rules or decision trees as the source of data for patterns searching.

Note: if the selected "Analytic Data Source" is empty ( no Decision Rules or Decision Trees, depending on the selected source, where loaded or created), the "Simple Select Query" and "Fields Mapping" can be performed only using basic statistical data. Features will be fully available after creating or loading the corresponding rules or decision trees.

Selecting "Analytic Data Source"

You can select one of  these possible Data Sources:

  • "Current Rules" - the program will use created or loaded decision rules. These rules are displayed on the "Rules" page.
  • "Current Decision Tree" - the program will use created or loaded decision trees, that are currently displayed on the "Decision Tree" page.

The selected Source will be used for the Simple Select Query .
